Darling Designs has been serving the high-end custom home market in the regional southwest since 1987, and has completed several private commissions throughout the United States. Their Arizona homes can be found in upscale communities such as Estancia, Silverleaf, Desert Mountain and Paradise Valley. Commissions always maximize the natural context, whether a Pacific vista or a northern forest, perched atop iconic mountains or seamlessly embedded into the desert rocks.

Traditionally trained, he prefers the “old-school” approach of preparing the vellum sheet and setting pen – or pencil – to paper. Unusual for a designer, he has first-hand knowledge of construction methods and actual field experience, which gives him a unique perspective when it comes to design – one that translates into real value for his clients. Nancy Darling is the firm’s Business Manager and Account Director, handling client relations, business development and quality control – as well as offering design input. The two, married over 40 years, work side-by-side on each and every project.
